Dr. Shubhanshu has done his basic education from Topiwala National Medical College & B Y L Nair Ch Hospital, Mumbai Central, and MS in Orthopaedics from the prestigious KEM Hospital, Parel, Mumbai. He has undergone 2 years Super Specialisation Training Program in Clinical Spine Surgery under the Association of Spine Surgeons of India (ASSI) under the mentorship of Dr. Abhay Nene. His training involved day to daycare and management of patients with spine disorders especially non operative management strategies.
He has been trained in minimally invasive as well as conventional open and mini-open surgeries. During his training days, he gained a lot of experience in managing pediatric deformities like Scoliosis, Kyphosis, and Tuberculosis of the spine and treatment options including, casting, bracing, and surgical correction of deformities at B J Wadia Hospital, Mumbai.
